Bryce Canyon Lodge, c. 2010. The National Park Service expanded the road in the 1950s to make room for larger vehicles, but the hotel’s exterior is largely original. In 1979, the Park Service expanded a public square outside the front entrance and added a wheelchair ramp. The Park Service closed the road in front of the lodge in 1989.
